"Iowa State’s facilities are pretty much Big Ten worthy. They have the third largest football stadium in the Big 12 and had the 21st highest attendance average in 2019. You know who is at #20? Iowa. Iowa had the 7th highest attendance average among Big Ten schools. Which means Iowa State had a better home attendance average than Purdue, Indiana, Minnesota, Northwestern, Illinois, Maryland and Rutgers. We all know how much of a snake pit Hilton Coliseum is for opposing teams in basketball and ISU’s wrestling program is on the rise…and the simple fact that they have one is a good thing. Also, Iowa State is a fantastic education institution and is a member of the AAU. It’s a geographic fit, a cultural fit and it just fits in my mind."

"In my opinion, and given the new area of television contracts I expect to see relative to streaming services entering the fray, the Big Ten adding Iowa State and Kansas, along with the Pac12 adding Oklahoma State and Kansas State"

So did JM hear about Dave Wannstedt because he's saying the same thing?

I am not a Miller fan but he’s got the same line of thinking I’ve had all along. Anyone using eyeballs and markets as a reason ISU will never get an invite from the Big Ten should be muted and ignored immediately. It’s not 2010. It’s not even 2018. Things are shifting all the time and 20M has been lost in cable subscribers alone the last few years.

Only thing I disagree w/ is the act of God clause regarding the lost games or at least one in particular. tOSU chose not to play even though their roster met criteria, they didn't play because they were missing some key parts and didn't want to risk losing to Illinois.

It makes more sense to non-football msm terds that blow college coaches to earn the reward of giving handies to conference officials.

But it’s so much easier to say “None of the Big 12 remaining 8 have any value” and write it over and over like most of the national guys do.
It is a double edge sword for ESPN now. If the R8 have no value, then big pay day. If they have good value, then they kinda have to bid on them for a new media rights and give them power status.

In the end they were trying toplace the R8 in tje AAC and use the 30 MM per team to bump the SEC so they would still have the same teams at no extra cost to them since they are losing money.

Wonder if he will get drug tested tomorrow after that.
