I'm not sure how much I missed, but when I tuned in they were talking about his trip back 2 weeks ago and Fred Hoiberg as the coach. Johnny said he was really thankful to Jamie for giving Fred his chance, and thinks he is going to do a great job. He's doing good this year, and when he gets some players next year, "oh boy look out coach!"
He said he is still in Florida right now, but will return to Iowa for the summer on April 15th. As I mentioned in the other post he will be the Grand Marshall of the VEISHEA parade. He still has a house in WDM (Glen Oaks) and The Harvester, for when he lives in Iowa in the summers. He (had or still has, not sure) a job with Iowa Network Services travelling the state doing PR work for them. His wife is still doing relatively well, living at home with him still. She did break her hip recently (not sure if that was after or before his trip back here a couple weeks ago) but she's expected to recover fine.
He doesn't keep his golf handicap at 10 anymore because it's too hard to win money that way.
After he hung up one of the Jims mentioned he had just been inducted into the Michigan Hall of Fame too.
He doesnt have a house anymore in Glen Oaks.
I guess he was lying.
The county assessors site still shows he does.
He doesnt have a house anymore in Glen Oaks.
Can anyone who listened give us a recap?
I kind of wish that these radio shows would have text message alerts on who is going to be on them. I don't always tune into Two Guys Named Jim, but would when I knew they were talking Iowa State.
