Trying to remember what he said. I thought it was priceless. It went something like this "There will be 80 thousand dissappointed fans leaving memorial stadium, and I have to say it's probably the best thing I've ever seen in my life, beside meeting my wife for the first time." Anyone remember the exact quote?

I think it was Heft who started to say that this was the greatest day in his life since meeting his wife. John cut him off in his excitement. John said something along the lines that 80,000 people were leaving the stadium in shock and they could all agree that it was ugly.

I think Heft was losing it as he was saying that so John had to step in.

Then I completely misheard in my excitement. Oh well...

Regardless, every Cyclone was very emotional following this win, considering the many years of disappointment following games at Memorial Stadium. Soak it in! Enjoy it! Cyclones 9 Huskers 7! Go State!!

I think he said: " 86,000 people are leaving this game thinking they've just watched something ugly, I'm leaving here, with the exception of the day I met my wife, that I've never seen something more beautiful"

I loved it, and promptly stole that line in a mass email to every Husker fan I know.
