I enjoyed him when he was on the air. Going to be hard to replace. Maybe they can get Frank Caliendo.

Really like his sense of humor 10 years ago. That had faded the last few years.

Still had a pretty good football mind and appreciated how he could break down plays.

He'll be a tough act to follow.

Exactly. He helped my enthusiasm and understanding of the game. He was very good for a very long time.

I have nothing but respect for John Madden as a football mind and what he did to promote the NFL over the years. I blame him for the hours that I have commited to the Madden video game. That being said I think the time was right for him to step back, his skills in the booth have been eroding over the past few seasons.

I will be interested to see who they get to replace him on Sunday nights.

I wish a guy like Madden would last forever. His voice is NFL football. I'll always remember his "Turduckin" cooking in his bus on Thanksgiving games.

I used to enjoy John Madden, but he has really gone downhill. He still does well when there is a good game, and he is paying attention, but if the game is out of reach or boring, it goes south really fast.

Not really going to miss him.
