I need to stop in and eat at sub city. Havent eaten there for a long time but I loved it when I did.
When I'm at Subway I get all the veggies save green peppers, tomatoes, and cucumbers. My only sauce is mustard and maybe some vinegar (due to the caloric level of the others).
It makes perfect sense to load your Subway with veggies. Its more filling, barely adds any calories, and adds a lot of nutrional value.
I burned out on Jimmy John's in college, but I still like it from time to time. I've never seen a company grow so fast. Deli sandwiches are about my favorite kind of food, and every place does 'em a little different. B&B and Manhattan are definitely the places to hit when you're in DSM and they're convenient, but like someone else said, its not always possible.
Casey's subs are probably my favorite chain subs these days. I'd take 'em over both Subway and JJ.

I do the same thing. I usually get the Italian BMT and put veggies and Oil & Vinegar on it. Tasty.
I like jjs and think there is an interesting sweetness to the bread that makes it addictive. I prefer subway because I can load up on the spinach, olives peppers and cukes. I like a good sandwich about as well as anything and probably need to find a good local joint to try too.
Agreed. I frequent Subway the most because it's closest to my house, but Quizno's has the best taste in my opinion. The thing that bothers me a little about Quizno's is how they meticulously weigh the meat right in front of you to make sure they don't give you 1/10 of an ounce too much. I just want to say "really, you can't just guesstimate that ****?"
That and, although the ones around me have closed so I haven't been there in years, is it still way more expensive than the other places? I remember it being $10+ there for a meal.
I used to work right by one so I ate there fairly often, but haven't eaten at one in over a year. I do remember it being more pricey than a Subway or JJ's. The meals though will get you at any of these places. Subway charges something like $2.50 to add chips and a drink so your $5 footlong ends up costing you over $8.
Well yeah, but I remember the sub at Quiznos starting at $8 or so. I really think the $5 sub at Subway killed the ones around here. You can't compete when you are $4-$5 more for a smaller sub.
Why do Jimmy Johns employees act like they are really cool. They are like the new version of Starbucks employees. Dude you make sandwhiches for a couple bucks an hour. Not really that cool. Lay the Pipe down and make me a sandwhich.
I also hate the "Put everything you got on it" guy at Subway. Just order a sub with no meet because there is no way you can taste it with every single veggie known to man on your sub.
I am in the middle with JJ's. I would say they are overrated but not as bad as everyone else thinks. Just there employees

Yea the footlongs there were at least $7-$8, and more for the more specialized subs. It was definitely not cheap as far as subs go.
