MLB: Jeff Kent's Latest Target, Vin Scully

I liked him when I lived in Houston and he played for the Astros. I kinda felt sorry for him when Barry 'Rhoid' Bonds beat the crap outta him in the SF dugout; I thought it was all Barry's ego and temper. Maybe there's something about Kent that's not so attractive.
 
Man - I hope that guy doesn't divide the clubhouse again like he did last year. And what's with the timing anyway? Last year - same thing - in the thick of the pennant race and he goes off.

The good news is that Torre is managing this year and Scully's not going to push it - and he's not in the clubhouse.
 
You've got to be doing something wrong when people take Barry Bonds' side over yours.

Seriously, you've got to be right. I mean the guy is a veteran and is supposed to be a professional. What kind of dimwitted egomaniac would go off two years in a row in the thick of a pennant race?

He's either the the worst teammate ever, the most ignorant teammate ever - or both. I'm burning over this - I watched last years' meltdown and hold Kent responsible. And we already know it doesn't take much to send Manny reeling.

And he has such a great name... just isn't right.
 
Vin Scully is an amazing broadcaster and probably the best baseball guy announcer living. 20 years from now, people may remember Jeff Kent, but they will remember Vin Scully. Maybe the Dodgers will sign Barry for the express purpose of beating the snot out of Kent if the LA dugout????? One can only hope. Minimum salary - that sounds like a fair deal.
 
Jeff Kent is a loser! Had to say it!

I get the MLB audio package ($15 a year) and love catching the innings that Vin Scully broadcasts...he is the BEST!
 
Wow Jeff Kent is an angry guy. Why would you go after a legend like Vin Scully? I hope he retires soon.

And Kemp took him out in the locker room last year too after he was talking crap to Loney. I know for a fact that not one of the younger guys on that team has any respect for him...

I'd pay real cash money to watch this. Swear to God. I hate no other baseball player more than Kent. Does he own a freakin' mirror?

That I didn't know. I have a newfound admiration for Kemp and have now forgiving him for all of his base running blunders this year.

Seriously, I have to believe (hope) Torre is going to pull Kent aside and put a stop to this. The race is on and there's no time for a clubhouse divided. That race could be decided in a week or two of streaks - and both Arizona and LA are streaking positively right now.
