McKay is at his best playing in rotation when he goes hard with all of his energy and then gets some rest to go again. Great players want minutes, they want to start I get that, but McKay looks to be at his best with his high energy runs. Last night reminded me of last year. Early in the year the team didn't have another option and McKay got a lot of minutes and it made it hard to sustain the energy, now Burton can share that time. I hope last night is an indicator of the weeks to come. McKay can get his double/doubles in 25 minutes.
Watching that interview with Jameel, I still don't think he was too happy with only playing 22 mins, but hopefully he'll be getting more minutes as time goes on.
I still wonder if Jameel doesn't tweet "1 game" after his suspension if he would have played @Texas Tech and we get that win, but hopefully in the long run it will benefit us that we lost that game without him.

You could say this about a lot of our guys. I didn't notice it the last couple years, but last night George in particular looked tired and did not go full bore on rebounds or inbounds passes. Even Monte can use rest and liked that he got some last night. I swear there were 4 or 5 rebounding situations, long ones, where I guys just watched it instead of selling out to get it. It got better later in game when it was crunch time, but there lies the problem.....we do not put pepole away because we are on cruise control too often. More wake up calls to come I am afraid.
I'm not sure who is around Jameel telling him he is going to be a multi-millionaire in NBA.....but I really wish you the best and happiness with a a strong European career. Save your money, which will be good. You might have to drive Acura instead of Alpha Romeos liek the rest of us schmucks.......but you are still living the dream bro. Stay Happy.
I think people need to pump the breaks a bit on Jameel's performance last night, he played with great energy but UT still scored baskets on 3 of the shots he blocked and chasing the ball instead of boxing out gave them a few easy buckets. His energy lead to about 10 points worth of mistakes. We all like to see him flying around but does it really make him a better player? Offensively he played within himself but defensively, I think he was a little too eager to make plays last night and gambled, when you look at the actual plays he made vs numbers on paper, a few of those gambles were more like bad plays.
