We still have Sage and the Vikings staff really like John David Booty, so really nothing to worry about. I just hope T-Jack comes back and plays like he did at the end of last season, and I hope Sage plays like he did last year - minus the helicopter he took against the Colts.
Last I heard it was a grade 1 MCL sprain which is a day to day thing. Grade 2 is a few weeks recovery. Last preseason he waited 'til week 2 of the preseason before spraining his knee. Just think, he's being proactive and getting this years injury out of the way early.
This can only help Sage at this point. Depending on how Jackson recovers it could hand Sage the starting job.

I've been through an MCL strain (2nd degree), and was able to get back up and playing after sitting out a week. Granted, probably not a smart move, but depending on the severity of the strain Jackson probably shouldn't lose more than a few weeks.
Question is, will that break allow Sage to cement himself as the #1 QB (if he hasn't already...)?
