I stopped out to check on the crew we have working at the stadium and snapped some pictures for those that do not see it everyday.

Nice work, I am so pumped for what the West side is going to look like with all that glass going across, nice to finally see these renovations in progress!

It's actually starting to look like something...do you know if they'll have the renovations 'on display' for the spring game? (probably the closest I'll ever get to sitting in one of the suites!)

I drive by it almost every day and I really liked those pictures because it is hard to see all of that in the few seconds that I get. It really seems like they got a lot done over the winter.

Drove by today and it looks SWEET! Are we doing that on the East side where people will see it?

What, if anything, is going on the back of the concession stands facing Beach? Are they just going to leave the concrete and steel?

How many new people to the site have been told to fork it over? I think one of them should have a few million for JP now...

You would think that.

Hmm... maybe insted of flag running this year I should have been going around Hilton with a club "asking" for donations for the new building projects. Would have been a much more tangeable contribution to Cyclone athletics!

The plans that I have seen show it nice and fancy. Besides, what is ugly about concrete? Have you seen the rest of the stadium?

It's so easy to lose track of the various facilities projects and the timelines . . . or is it just me?

The east side work does not have a start date, then? The other day looking at "The Next Big Step" brochure, I was reminded that JP envisions the east side of JTS and the four-lane roadway as a grand entrance to the campus and the stadium (in coordination with Reiman Gardens, too, iirc). Could be a pretty big project. Wonder where we are, fund-raising-wise.

Loved the photos, too.

Did they chop the hill on that side. I know they are keeping the hill on the other side. Hell any kid 10 or under generally likes the hill more than the game. My kids love playing football on that hill.

I have no problem with concrete...I just simply wondered if they were going to dress it up or not. I drove by it everyday so it's nice to see it slowly coming along and I'm envisioning the final product.

I dunno about Cyclone football games but I always liked the hills at Bowie Baysocks games (AA baseball in Maryland) when I was a kid quite a bit... spent more time playing there than watching the game... So I certainly appreciate the hills now, even if it makes JTS look less than spectacular... I hope they atleast keep the North side hills (I want to see the South ones converted to seats, sorry kids. Besides, I think the kids prefer the North end, though thats the end I've always sat at so I may be biased)

If you're refering to the hill between the gate and the stadium, I know they cut into that... the hill on the East side is there to stay for now but expect that to get cut into in phase II as well

How many seats did they remove to add those boxes? Wasn't there quite a few rows of seats under the overhang?
