Re: ESPN reporting that Hines Ward has been cut

Where did you paste that from? That is literally word for word what Rotoworld has about the Cowboys cutting TO. I have a hard time believing the money effects and their stats over the final 8 games are exactly the same. The only thing different is a few of the teams listed.

While his $3.1M roster bonus wasn't due until June, Dallas ultimately decided that T.O.'s locker-room politics outweighed arguably being the team's best offensive player. The move causes a $680,000K cap hit, but saves Jerry Jones $5.77M in cash. T.O. has a lot left -- he averaged 18.9 yards a catch and scored five TDs in the Cowboys' last eight games -- and may draw interest from the Raiders, Redskins, Jets, and Broncos. Receiver-needy teams almost certain to pass include Chicago, Philadelphia, and Miami.

Not the same Mwitt - the hit for Dallas was much bigger as releasing Owens will cost dallas over 9 million against the cap this year - thats why i was surprised it happened.

It's not the same because the information that you pasted off of that website is about TO, not Hines.

Hines didn't average over 18 yards per catch the last 8 games of the year. He's probably never averaged 18 yards per catch during any 8 game span of his career. There were only two games this season where Hines averaged more than 18 yards in a single game, and in those two games he combined for a whopping 3 receptions.

TO will not cost $9 million against Dallas' cap this year.

I like hines ward Mwitt - he belongs in Pittsburgh - hes a pitt guy, no nonsense plays every snap like its his last just like the game should be played - much respect for him. I hope its not true.

and yes i would love to have him in dallas but realize thats not going to happen.
