Stealing BenEClone's thunder by posting this a bit early, but I thought we might want to get the conversation started early.

Who:
Iowa State at Vanderbilt
Where: Nashville, TN
When: Saturday, Dec. 2nd at 3 p.m.
Radio: Cyclone Radio Network/Learfield
TV: SEC Network

Vanderbilt is 2-6. This is another tough road game against a team we ought to beat but could get upset by.

Common opponents:
Central Michigan

Vandy lost on the road 92-75
ISU lost on a neutral court 81-60

Tulane
Vandy lost on the road 71-59
ISU won on a neutral court 67-64

Stephanie White replaces Vanderbilt's winningest coach Melanie Malcomb (moved to South Carolina coaching staff after 2016). I think she beat us the last time we played. The Commodores play in the oddest-distracting, basketball structures I have seen. The courtside seating of the teams is odd, the interior is odd and the basketball hoop support is unique.

I followed Vanderbilt as my daughter was set to go there (then changed to GWU) and got to know somethings about the school. The high point of interest when we lost a recruit to them.

The quick turn around might be good for us. Remember what went right in the second half and forget the loss. Just waiting for one of the post players to get it.

An interesting tidbit, some may be surprised to see Carolyn Peck on the bench. Steph White was one of Peck's players on the her Purdue National Championship team.

Smash the Commodores.

So very sorry Vandy folks this was the best I could do.

It's been a back and forth game. No offensive rhythm (seems to be par for the course this season).

Plus Vandy's court needs a little nip and tuck, way too much square feet of sideline margin.

Can we please let someone else make end of half/game decisions? That is not Bridgette's strong point. Give the ball to Emily and let her drive/kick to Bridget for a three or something

Have to say it is a treat to have away SEC announcers that are so educated about wbb and ISU as well.
I'm walking around the mall of America with my wife and her brother and his wife.. streaming the game so I have no sound

I have to say that we are not very good, defensively. How can we let #3 shoot wide open 3 ptrs (not just once or twice, but 4 or 5 times)? Unbelievable! Our defense is almost as bad as the Hok Men's team. If we stop hitting shots, this game could quickly turn into a blow-out.
