The following attachment looks at ISU's & their opponents points per game average since 1987. Initially it to take a deeper dive to see just how inept our offense has been compared to our history, and on the flip side, how much stronger our defense has been. Obviously one of the first things I've noticed is while our offensive ppg is obviously sh*t, historically it could be and has been much worse. Second thing I'd like point out is we might be the only power 5 team to actually be currently averaging more offensive ppg & less opponent ppg vs conference foes compared to the non-con. I'm sure it change as we start facing off against the tougher members of the Big 12, but still surprising nonetheless. Third thing is Campbell still has the highest offensive ppg average and lowest opponent ppg average of any of the 4 previous head coaches (not particularly a high bar all things considered). So as we get ready to stare down the Sooners I'd like everyone to remember just how bad we used to play in this game vs since Campbell came to ISU:
