Opening as a favorite in B12 play after our last two performances seems crazy however Oklahoma State looked awful yesterday getting beat 33-7 at home vs South Alabama.

Wouldn’t touch the line. OK State looked just as bad as us yesterday.
The good news is that it will be virtually impossible to be uglier than the 6-6 tie between the 'Pokes @ Cyclones in 1991 - which is the ugliest game that I have ever attended. I'm looking forward to Saturday and a Cyclone Victory!

I think the Iowa State coaches and players actually celebrated after the game because they didn't lose.

That was the 1994 tie @ Oklahoma State in the midst of the 0-10-1 season. Ironic that in 1991 - Oklahoma State went 0-10-1, and in 1994 - ISU went 0-10-1 with the tie being vs. the other team on the road in both years. That was a dark, ugly period of Iowa State football, and I only missed one home game (another tie with Kansas in 1992!) during that period. Looks like Thunderstorms on Saturday, so it will be like the good old bad days (bad football and bad weather) - I suppose. I'm going to have a good time though. First game of the year for me. Just going to enjoy the day in Ames!

I was there for the 91 game as well..in spite of the tie, OSU won the day with their cheerleaders..that was a straight up smokeshow...I cannot forget the fact that when our offense achieved a first down, the ROTC fired off the cannon.

Ugliest game I attended in person was 1984 ISU-KSU - 7-7 tie.
