I will finally get to see us play in HD!
I live in Minneapolis, but I get ESPN Full Court. I havent gotten to watch a lot of the non-conference games, but it looks like every conference game is on the schedule.

Are many of the games down in the Des Moines/Ames market on HD or do you usually have to settle for regular programming?

It was stated in a different thread that our game was NOT in HD, even though whatever game on ESPN2 was going to be in HD.

...and unless Direct TV is different than cable, Full Court games are never in HD. At least they weren't with Comcast in Seattle.

The camera's at Hilton need to be HD first.

First, this game is in Lawrence, so that doesn't matter for this game.

Second, it's not the Hilton cameras (to the best of my knowledge), it's what ESPN decides to bring with them for that game.

when the game is not broadcast in HD, I find that helps to squint at the TV for the whole first half of the game. Then, after halftime, I open my eyes fully and the increase in picture quality can sometimes trick you into thinking it's HD. Give it a try, but try not to get slapped in the back during the first half. Peace to all.

Yeah, I'm sure it's the network bringing in the cameras that's the issue. The HD isn't decided by what venue games are played at.

Hmmm...you'd think the #2 team in the country would warrant HD. Time for the Big 12 commish to get in someone's ear...
