ISU football jerseys and hats

I was just wondering if anyone knows if they are coming out with a new jersey this year for football? Like a new number? I know they have Arnaud's #4 but was really hoping for maybe a #23 this year! :wink:

Also, I was wondering where a good place to buy kids hats would be? I want to get my little boy a fitted hat but can't seem to find anything. He will be turning 1 in August so it makes it a little harder to find a hat that size for him....(honestly I dont even know if they make them that small)

By the way....the jersey would be for him too! But dont tell his mom cause she's an Iowa fan!!! :biglaugh:
 
Not sure where you live, but the University Bookstore in the Memorial Union has a wide size range of fitted hats. I think the Jersey numbers will stay #4 this year. It would be nice if Nike offered a road Jersey too.
 
Strawberry Patch in the Ames Mall has something for EVERY size. Was in there earlier tonight to buy infant stuff for my cousin. Obviously this only works if you're in the area though. :wink:
 
i heard you can go to the hy vee in west ames and get a jersey customized for around 50..

Two knocks...
(1) It's at North Grand Mall. Which will come first in Ames: the North Grand renovation, or the "Country Buffet"?
(2) Every time I walk by, SP seems to have an overabundance of hawk merchandise, and I-State merch in non-school colors.

Third knock-

The Strawberry Patch has probably the cheapest **** quality-wise when it comes to Cyclone apparel in the entire city of Ames, and in some cases that's saying a lot. I spent 6 years at Iowa State and I couldn't bring myself to purchase one piece of **** from that store.

I will buy stuff when I don't care if I ruin it. Their screenprinted crap is exactly that. Crap. However, where else in Ames can I get a hooded sweatshirt that's paper thin for $16?
 
I know they have done running back jersey's before. They had them for T.Davis and I think the had one for S.Hicks. A #33 (AR) or #23 (LJ) would be cool! They had two last year, with #4 and #7.
 
I've never had a problem with the quality of shirts/hoodies I bought at SP. Their stuff is better than the cheap crap Signify sent me last year!

Just FYI, but T-Galaxy has the #4 jerseys on sale. They were $60 and they are on sale for $42. I'm betting that they come out with a new number if they are trying to unload #4s.
 
For Nike, I believe the school decides on the number every year to release and usually coincides with the anticipated best player on the team.
