I have a Julius Michaliak card signed Autographed by Fred Hoiberg. It was from the Cyclone shootout Floyds 1st year. Oh ya , I don't want to sell it. Just braggin.

Wow, I did not know that they made them of those guys. That would be great

I have some from the 1980s that I picked up at the card shop in Ames a few years back. There are also some cool cards of FB/Bball players in Cylclone uniforms, but pro/college card company made out there.

I would love to have the ones that were put out by Iowa State and people in Ames. The ones from the 80's do they have white borders? Who do you all have? If you ever want to get rid of the ones put out for ISU I would love to get them. Thanks

Looks like the ones I have are from 1989 - the white border ones:

Carmen Jaspers
Mark Urquhart
Lynne Lorenzen
Jenni Adams (2)
Eric Voelker
Tim Krieger
Dana Burson
Mike Shane
Jenny Condon

I probably wouldn't be willing to part with them, though, because I don't have duplicates except the one and actually collect ISU cards on a larger scale. Main Street Sportscards in Ames is where I got them a while back and they may still have some.

Thank you for your info. Mainstreet Sportscards has now closed. I know that they also have made, Pam Wettig, Victor Alexander, Jeff Grayer and Mike Born because my friend has these ones. I would love to be able to get some of these and the other cards they put out.

Hmm, I am pretty sure I have those also. Must be in a different box. Mainstreet closed? Is there any sportscard store in town anymore? Clark's also seemed like it closed, but it might have just moved.

I know I got a Mike Busch card in his baseball uniform from back in the day, think also got some of the above mentioned cards.

I really wish I could get more of these types of cards too. I like getting ISU players in their pro uniforms, but so much better if they are college cards or Classic/Press Pass/Sage (words that are rarely spoken I'm sure).

Found the other ones you mentioned:

Some duplicates plus:

Pam Wettig
Victor Alexander
Jeff Grayer
and Mike Born

Still all 1989. Did they do this most years back then?

Not for sure about Clarks, but Mainstreet just closed. I do not think that there are anymore card shops in Ames anymore. SAD!!!!! It is something I have done ever since I was a little guy. So many great memories.

That would be very cool to have Mike Busch too. I have been trying to find some of these. Please let me know if you want to get rid of any of them. Thank you

That's really disappointing. Without the internet it would be really hard to get ISU cards. It's more fun going to a shop, though.

That is great!!! Please let me know if you every want to get rid of your extras. I would love to have them. Thanks

You are correct that the market has dropped out in them. One of the problems is they made too many types of cards and they got way to expensive which too the kids out of the hobby. Greed kills most good things.

A lot of sportscard stores are closing/closed as there is little money in it anymore.

I agree that it is much more enjoyable to go into your local shop to do your collecting. You can actually see the card you are wanting to buy, build friendships and get info. I have a very large sports card collection. People completing sets is a long gone art form that I really like to do.
