Here's the Merriam-Webster definition of a rival:

[h=2][SUP]1[/SUP]ri·val[/h] noun \ˈrī-vəl\: a person or thing that tries to defeat or be more successful than another
: something or someone that is as good or almost as good as another person or thing

The second one is not even close to being true, obviously, and we've certainly proven the first one in relevant history.

I think it's time we consider declassifying Iowa as a rival.

Had a really good conversation with a woman who was explaining how Louisiana Tech isn't rivals with Louisiana State because Louisiana State is just so much better at everything than Louisiana Tech.

I told her it's the same way with Iowa State-Iowa, but Iowa fans keep wanting to call it a rivalry.

You'd think if a woman could figure it out, we could too

It will all cycle, they'll eventually fire Francis and hire somebody decent. May be a decade or two.
I dunno, he's the first coach that looks like he cared since Dr. Tom. If they replace him, they need a power 5 coach.

6 of the top 20 threads on the main page are about Iowa.

In contact, there are 6 threads currently discussing isu bball.

Id venture to say Iowa is just as important to some as isu is.

Sad that at a time where ISU MBB is at one of it's highest points ever some here are still obsessed with talking about Iowa.

This is accurate.

This also, true.

Cyclonesince78 gets it. Most of the rest of you need work.
This is a lame attempt at strengthening a weak-*** post.
