I respect Franklin and Penn State much more than Ferentz and Iowa as do most people in America
It is crazy how Kirk has managed to avoid punishment for this. All of this KF/Iowa stuff has been public knowledge for over a year now, and meanwhile Gruden gets the axe for something just discovered that happened 10+ years ago. It is really mindblowing to me. Not sure what is protecting him at this point, but also concerned why he is so many backers still. It is really a bad look for the fans, players, and university that continues to support him.
Wadley did rob me along with others who paid up front for his signed merchandise which was never delivered. I’m Ok with it now since he clearly needs the $ , evidenced by his BS lawsuit , that I can’t imagine could ever prove any actual damages.

In flyover states like Iowa, a long time coach at the flagship program has unlimited power.
it also helps that the media seems to be fans of the program. Add that to strong arm tactics by the program, and ad threatening to remove access, and they become nothing more than cheerleaders
Kirk knows he survived another scandal, and now there is literally nothing that he can do that would jeopardize his plan for Brian to take over for him.
it’s pretty terrible that Iowa fans support this guy, because he’s proven to be a pretty terrible person over and over.
but it’s the nature of being a fan. Penn State and Michigan State and baylor fans all defend paterno and Izzo and briles. Guess we will call that a blind spot, since that’s an excuse to be racist, it must apply to all other situations.

Why didn’t Iowa fire Doyle in 2019 when they first found out he was a racist?

When the rest of the nation found out how racist the Iowa staff was, I had customers that were absolutely Furious at Iowa. Not because of the widespread racist culture, but because they fired Doyle and held an investigation. I know of three different people who turned in their Hawkeye license plates because of it. Of course, now that they are in the middle of their luckiest season ever, they are all back, cheering loudly. Just an absolute PoS fan base.
Right. We know these issues were absolutely disgusting.
I'm looking for links that national folks have said "I have more respect for Franklin and Penn State than kf and Iowa."
Also, I'm on record saying these issues were despicable, and I will need much more than what's been publicly released to convince me there has been change. I do think the current players support bares weight, as do the opinions of incoming families and recruits. I'd also like to believe people are genuinely able to see their wrongs and change. So far, I have not seen enough to convince me that this has happened. Which really puts a damper on a season of a lifetime (so far).
With all that being said, Penn State is trash, Franklin is a prick, and I hate them as well. Their fans can be quotes as saying things like "I'm so glad Franklin is continuing the honor and winning ways of JoePa."
So, many Iowa fans may be in denial about the issues within the walls of kinnick, but psu fans never came to terms with theirs either. At least racism can be addressed and people can change, learn, and grow.
I mean Franklin hasn't done anything nearly as bad as Kirk so yeah I think it's safe to say he's more respected nationally
I’m just sticking around to see just exactly where rock bottom is for ISU fans. I mean you guys are absolutely broken by Iowa season so far here in the ISR forum, but I have a feeling it could get even worse.
