Iowa State's WR room ranked as one of CFB's best entering 2021

...and it's probably our weakest position group on offense.
Yeah.... there are a lot of position groups on this team that are top 10 in CFB, but the WR core ain't one of them. Don't get me wrong, by season's end they may be, but Milton needs to show that he can bounce back from an injury to be a true, reliable deep threat, and Shaw needs to continue to step up his game.

EDIT: Removed WR3 comment as Shaw has clearly been that:rolleyes:

Shaw was dinged up all last year.

It would be great if a couple (or three, or four or five) more guys would emerge this season.

X will be one of the best WR in the conference
Tarique will be too if he is healthy.
Several other guys will be solid role players. I thought Shaw had a better 2019 than 2020, I hope he takes a step forward this off-season.
Looking forward to great things from this group. Purdy will have a great senior season!

I was surprised when I saw this yesterday. Hutchinson likely plays a big role, and the return of Milton. If Noel lives up to the hype and another WR steps up it could happen. We’ve definitely recruited some talent, but a lot of them have seemed to develop slowly for one reason or another.

The bright side is we have a hell of a TE room and RB not to mention QB to help out here. Especially if the OL is what it’s hyped up to be Purdy might have a little extra time to find someone.
