Iowa State Team Preview

Really well done. Thanks for your work on this.

Reading this brought back sad memories of the B12 t'ment. Gabe showed a lot of guts there, but the injury was too much to overcome. And then he competed at the Natonals!!

All this is going to do is make the wait for wrestling season take even longer.

In all seriousness, very good article!

Maybe if John Smith wasn't an A-hole, he would have had Kindig seeded 4th so he could default out and maybe Gabe doesn't injure his shoulder because his first round match would have been a forfeit.

still ****** about that

Thanks for sharing. Still weird to see those other schools in the Big 12 outlook, although I am happy about it.

Does anyone know the plan at 141 with Dante and Meeks? Any sense of how they do against one another in the room?

I would guess it starts out as John's and Dante could redshirt. But if John struggles again, Dante will wrestle.

From everything I've heard and seen, Meeks handles Dante in the room (as he does with nearly everyone in the room). His problem in college has always been that translating into performance in meets. If he can get it figured out I think you'll see him as our 141 lber.

I still think he is a little too small for 141, though.

Would love to see Meeks turn it on. He seems/seemed to have so much potential.

I watched Dante take Meeks to his back on Periscope.

Did you also see Meeks get 3 out of 5 takedowns on Earl (an All-American) in their live wrestling? Practice means something, but certainly not everything, and most of these guys are so even in talent and skill that it can go either way every time they go at it.

Guess I'm just not sure what you're trying to say.
