There has been one casual post about this game Saturday about who is going.. Kind of surprised that there isn’t more anticipation for this game. So I’ll start the prediction thread.

Missouri is now an SEC school obviously and they’ve been having a pretty good season. They seem like a team right at the fringe of the top-twenty five ranking. They are at a 15-5 mark if I’m not mistaken and are tough on Norm Stewart’s court.

I’ve got to be honest, they kind of remind me of Oklahoma State in the fact that they are not stellar offensively but play a stingy defense. Kind of like we were last year.

Iowa State 74
Missouri 71

But I don’t feel extremely confident with this one.

They are the polar opposite if Ok St. they are a horrible defensive team (#198 in kenpom) but a good offensive team #7). They force a ton of turnovers and are #1 in scoring off of steals. But everything else they do is average defensively.

Offensively they thrive on “easy” points and shoot a lot of threes pretty well. They are top 20 in FG%, primarily by converting easy buckets at the rim. They do turn the ball over a bunch.

They are the exact kind of team that when we are dialed in we can completely take out of their game. Gotta take care of the ball though!

I read that and thought that is definitely not true. Thanks for correcting it. This is a great matchup for us. Think they will really struggle against our defense and we're pretty good at slowing games down and grinding down opponents. They will not like it

Know nothing about Missouri. But I already hate them. Saw a Missouri account on Instagram so they hope their guys assault Grill and go at his back. Stay classy Misery

Putting this mid conference season has killed any interest I have in it. Especially this year, ISU doesn’t need it for the resume so I hope they rest the guys who need it.
That's the main problem with this game. In the non-conference, this would be a big game. Now, it just seems like it takes the focus off the real battle for the conference, and tends to favor the teams that need a resume win. With all that said, I don't think this group will play differently just because it doesn't count toward the conference race.

Mjhavlo with bad game analysis? Shocking!

That worked out well.

I mean, as long as we don't completely **** the bed the first 5 minutes of the game, we'll be fine. That game had a lot going against us. Rivalry game when they have more Iowans on the team, first true road game for us, them rallying around Murray being out, etc

Cyclones tuff defense will tame the antlers oops the tigers

Tuff as rain?

Adding that they are one of the worst rebounding teams in the country, #348 in rebounding margin.

It’s weird that a non ranked former rival is something I have no interest in playing. I would be down with Vanderbilt to give our guys a break.

Also as a big 8 guy. **** the rain deer. Paige arena sucks
