IOWA CUBS SINGLE GAME TICKETS TO GO ON SALE MONDAY
Individual game tickets for the 2008 Iowa Cubs home schedule go on sale
Monday, March 3 at the Iowa Cubs box office at Principal Park, on the
internet at Iowa Cubs: Home <Iowa Cubs: Home> and by telephone at
(515) 243-6111.
The Iowa Cubs open the 2008 season with an exhibition game against the
University of Iowa Hawkeyes on April 1 at 6:05 p.m., and open the regular
season April 3 at 3:05 p.m. against the Round Rock Express, the triple-A
affiliate of the Houston Astros.
Tickets for all 71 home dates are available for purchase in person at the
box office or by phone between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Fans
also may purchase tickets on-line at Iowa Cubs: Home
<Iowa Cubs: Home> at any time.
Ticket prices for 2008 are as follows: $25 for Home Plate Club seats, $12
for Club Box seats, $10 for Field Box seats and Reserved Grandstand seats,
and $7 for general admission. Ticket prices for children (13 and under) are
reduced for Reserved Grandstand sections ($6) and General Admission ($4).
Cubs tickets are available at a reduced rate for groups of 25 or more by
calling the Group Sales Department at 515-243-6111.
The Cubs¹ on-line ticket system will allow fans to be able to select their
exact seat location for each game and print tickets at home. All fans will
be able to e-mail their tickets to friends through their own ticket
management account.
³The system is great for our fans,² Iowa Cubs General Manager Sam Bernabe
said. ³It makes it easier and more convenient for our fans to pick the best
seats for each game, and to get those tickets into the hands of friends
should they be unable to use those tickets.²
Special events scheduled for 2008 include appearances by the Famous Chicken
on June 18 and August 5, the annual holiday fireworks show on July 3, and
three bobblehead doll giveaways.
