Which game is more important? Iowa needs to beat Arizona to keep their BCS and outside National Championship game hopes alive. Iowa State needs to beat Kansas State to keep their Big 12 North championship and bowl hopes alive.

Which school needs this win more?

Well since Iowa is shooing for the national title/BCS game.... they need everything.

ISU doesnt NEED this game.

Each game is the most important game of the year for both teams. At least to this point it is.

Honestly, I'm not sure you can say that one game is more important than the other.

since I'm an ISU fan, I could give a crap about the Iowa/Arizona game. I'm hoping to be well inebriated celebrating an ISU victory and nearing pass out time by the time that that thing even kicks off.

Is this seriously a question?

Yes it is! Not really my question but my Hawk fan co-workers. They were talking about how the Arizona game is the biggest game on their schedule this year. When I mentioned that might want to concentrate more on Ohio State, Wisconsin, and NORTHWESTERN....they laughed and said I didn't know what I was talking about.

This is the only game they are worried about. They already think they will beat the other three with no problem!

Each game is important for each team. Iowa needs to win so they can still compete for a NC. Iowa State needs to win, so we can start off solid in Big 12 North play. Each game is very big.

I'd actually argue that the ISU game is bigger for them. We might be in the hunt for the national title with a 12-0 year, but we still have a BCS bowl on the table with one or two losses. Iowa State, in search of back-to-back bowl berths, needs to win every winnable game on their schedule to achieve that. And KSU is one of those winnable games. With a loss, they 1. lose one of their chances to get at least 6 wins, and 2. could easily start a tailspin. UNI should be a win, but then they hit the gauntlet of TT, Utah, OU, and Texas. I could see MAYBE one upset in there, and that's a real long shot. So with a loss against KSU, they could very easily start the year 2-6. That would all but put an end to their bowl hopes.

ISU-KSU...Big-big game for us...... who freaking cares about Iowa? They are going to lose 2-3 games this year anyway.

Go Zona.

This is way more important for ISU. We lose, and the wheels come off the season, completely.

I didn't see the ":jimlad:" with your post, Al_4_State.

I would hate to think that ISU places all of its eggs in one basket so to speak. I think one of the things many of us said when Rhoads was hired was that we just want to see improvement in each game. If ISU does that, the wins will come.

Iowa needs this game, but no more than Ohio State, Wisconsin, or the rest of the Big 10. Iowa's biggest concern (and the biggest concern for MOST teams) is to do well in their conference.

By default, IMO, ISU needs this game against KSU probably more than Iowa needs the Arizona win. It's not only a conference game, it is a divisional game. Plus with the schedule ISU has, on paper, this is a must win if they wish to make it to a bowl this year.

ISU win over KSU. We must win this game for a number of reasons - bowl eligibility with a daunting schedule, rebound from iowa schlacking, team confidence, etc.

We don't win this game.....good luck getting to 6 wins. We'd then likely have to upset two top 25 teams.

Not just top 25, but currently top 10.

Which, after the way the Cyclones played against Iowa, will be tough. Texas hasn't looked dominant, but I think the talent alone on Texas and Oklahoma probably is enough to give Iowa a fight (if not outright beat them).
