Interesting chatter about us on BGN board

I wouldn't call it interesting. Someone starts a dumb thread and then everyone calls him on it. Just like here.
 
as long as we don't get 20 people from here that feel the need to sign up there to defend ISU's honor and create an embarrassing ******* match (like every other time one of these is posted), i'm ok with them saying whatever the hell they want
 
Nice standing up for Iowa State in Athletics and as an AAU school. Really good posts from KU faithful too... respected by the blue and red.

I think it's interesting because a lot of the posters have our back. It's nice getting a little respent once in a while.
 
Actually cool to read. Nice to know we are appreciated as an institution. Nationally we might not get much respect, but at least within conference it sounds like ISU is well liked.

I'd rather be hated. That normally means you're good at something.
 
WOW!! These guys seem to have it going on and understand what a bludgeoning that the big XIV can be!!! Nice to not be screwed over by your own conference member! Blue and Gold look forward to liking you until our first match up.:cool:
 
From what I heard of WVU fans on other forums is that they are ALL IN for the B12. They will be great additions to the B12. Unlike the other schools that left they appreciate what a great conference this can be.

I actually did find it interesting that so many people have our back. Imo it's a fair question if you're not being a **** and a lot of people answered it well. We're not to the point of super "duper" conferences yet where USC, Fla, tOSU & UT are in the same conference so I don't see where it hurts to have Wazzou's, Miss St.'s, Indiana's and Iowa State's on the schedule especially when we (ISU) will be able to attract a lot of eyeballs for the Okie Lite and UT games knowing what we've done against them the last two seasons.

Also, this dude better better not count his chickens when WVU comes to Ames in November. If we're sitting at seven wins the atmosphere will be like the OSU game last year and a tough out for the Mountaineers.
 
Please accept my apology on behalf of WVU for that really ignorant question. I think a Kansas Jayhawk said it best in that thread that every fan base has their idiots......well you have met ours. You guys bring more to the table than most realize. I am one of many fans who look forward to a trip to Ames.

Some things that are missed in the responses and I am not going to join to post
  1. ISU delivers the whole state of 3 million people as far as TV goes. Not a huge number but almost twice what WV has.
  2. Everything about the ISU fanbase screams BCS team. Our attendance numbers make a lot of other BCS schools look sad. Our facilities are average in size and are pretty good when compared to a lot of PAC 12, Big East, and ACC schools. Budget is respectable when compared to those confernces as well.
  3. It seems that most have glossed over the success under DMac and Eustachy.

I think most intelligent people on here realize that the OP is an idiot. The rest of the posters seem fair.

I look forward to meeting the WVU fans that make the trip to Ames in November. Most ISU fans are welcoming, but there will probably be a few idiots (like you said, every fan base has their idiots)
