In this analogy, the Iowa State Cyclones are Buffy the Vampire Slayer...

I am a big fan of the NBA and was listening to this daily NBA podcast, called No Dunks. On the podcast, they had a user-submitted question that compared NBA coaches to movie directors and listed some examples. One of the examples they listed was Tim Floyd following Phil Jackson in Chicago and struggling was similar to Joss Whedon taking over the Justice League movie for Zack Snyder and it not going well. If we stretch the analogy a little further, Tim Floyd's success at Iowa State propelled him into the Chicago Bull's job, much like Whedon's success with Buffy the Vampire Slayer propelled him into the director's chair for Justice League. The Iowa State Cyclones are Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

(Hope this makes sense. My wife is out of town and I'm two gummies and two cupcakes deep.)

Wait, let me catch up and I’ll let you know.

Ummm. Joss Whedon did create/produce Buffy, but he also directed the first Avengers movie. That's probably a bigger reason he took over Justice League.

Your analogy doesn't quite work.
