We need someone that knows how to build something from nothing and recruit where no one else goes.

I also think we need to shift recruiting grounds to where the big boys ARE NOT. Thinking west, upper midwest, even Canada. Crazy places that no one else goes. Recruit rugby players from Australia for all I care.

Know what you mean, but those Ozzy rugby players are too slow to amount to anything here. I said, when cpr was hired, to open up a recruiting office in foreign countries where there is speed galore. Maybe there's a law against that. I don't know.

Do those grow on trees?
Oh, get a successful mid-major head coach? Just get a successful mid-major head coach? Why don't I strap on my successful mid-major head coach helmet and squeeze down into my successful mid-major head coach cannon and fire off in head coach land where successful mid-major head coaches grow on little coachies?!

We shouldn't need Australian rugby player to compete with Toledo.

This right here is the post of the day.

I'm curious why Matt Campbell's name doesn't come up more often on here.

Fun fact I saw today. Toledo had to replace all 5 starters on their offensive line this year and they are 6-0, ranked in the top 20, and have yet to allow a sack!

Campbell is an offensive line guy.

Fuentes from Memphis would be my first pick. Freekin MEMPHIS beat a highly-ranked SEC team - and it wasn't due to playing "ugly ball" like Toledo vs Arky earlier in the year.

Willie Fritz come on down!

Dino Babers Bowling Green

Phillip Montgomery Tulsa

Both are branches off of the Briles Stalk. They will run exciting, fast offenses that will attract speedy, athletic kids.

Chris Williams mentioned Troy Calhoun (Air Force) on a recent podcast. I would love it. I just don't see us being competitive trying to run the same offense as everyone else in this conference with less talent.

I don't even care if we make a bowl every year- I just want to watch a game and have fun instead of being frustrated the whole time. Bring in a baller offense and let's score points!!!!

My Iowa State HC wish list:
1. Ken Niumatalolo - Navy HC
2. Dino Babers - Bowling Green HC
3. Jeff Brohm - WKU HC
4. Matt Rhule - Temple HC

I don't include Justin Fuente because he's going to somewhere better than Iowa State this offseason (SCar, Miami, etc)
