I understand basketball pretty well,, better than most. I'm having trouble understanding why Emily Durr doesn't play more minutes for this team. The assets she brings to a game seem to far out way those of women that play more. It simply appears to me that she isn't allowed to play through mistakes the way others are.

What am I missing?

She's not one of BF's "favorites" and thus mistakes are not overlooked like they are with others.

If you look at the stats the "big 3" (Johnson, Buckley, Carleton) play the most minutes (30+) then there is a second group that avg about 20 (+/- 1 min) (Burkhall, Starks, Durr). It looks like Durr and Starks split minutes with Starks getting about 1 min more per game. Durr scores more, but Starks rebounds more, is in my opinion a better defender and is more physical. I think Durr makes good contributions but you need to figure out whose minutes you want her to take.

Complete BS. If you've heard Coach Fen talk about her you know he believes in her and was very favorable about what she did in the off-season to get ready to contribute this year. Personally I see her as a great player to be the 6th "man." I agree that some players on the court (I.e. TeeTee) aren't the offensive threat that Durr can be. Both players bring certain traits to the floor and as a sub, Durr provides solid minutes at a number of positions and that makes her an invaluable person to be first off the bench.

Durr just makes too many mistakes. She does not bring enough to the table to override those mistakes either. Bridget make a lot of mistakes too - but her offense allows BF to keep her on the floor. TT is simply not Big 12 ready - but she plays more mistake free then Em. That is why she continues to get minutes.
