I am working with a club of about 130 members.

I want to be able to send text messages to all 130 members individually so they can reply individually and not to the group.

Looking for a free or inexpensive app to do this from my iPhone.

Have used ‘East Message’ but it commonly gets contacts mixed up and messages go to the wrong people.

TIA

Can't you just create a contact group, prepare the message for that group, and just uncheck group message. It's easy to do on an Android phone, I'm sure iPhone can do it, too.

With apple and I thought Android as well, you are limited to 20 contacts in a group so if he has 130 contacts he will need to send out in 6 groups of 20 and one group of 10. Anything over 20 and won't send. This applies to group messaging as well as unchecking group messaging.

Following as I have the same situation

GroupMe works great, people will need to PM inside of it if only one person is to see it, as a reply to a group is to all.

Also, Band works decent.

I know a lot of youth and high school teams and clubs use Heja.
FWIW its been the best app I have seen out of all of them I have been a part of.

Good luck with that. Even when people have that option in e-mail, a surprising number of them will hit the "Reply All" button. It's extremely annoying. I don't care to know that they're not coming to the next function because their great aunt's cat's friend had an emergency operation on its toenail.

This doesn't apply to me, please remove me from the mailing list.

GroupMe works pretty well in my opinion. The only quirk is after somebody gets added they need to send a message to the group like Got it or Thanks or they get auto removed from the group after a couple days. We use it for baseball team and band parent messages quite a bit.
