Anybody follow the Iowa Cubs?

They are about to go up 1.5 games in the PCL North, with a 30-26 overall record. Just a little bit ago, they were 23-25, so they've kinda come along.

I'd really like to see them take the PCL North and advance to the play offs again.

There's quite a bit of talent in the cubs minor league organization right now. And to think, a lot of those players wouldn't even be on the team if the Cubs had pulled the trigger on Brian Roberts this offseason. Go Cubs!

I always wanted a #8 Andre Dawson Cubs jersey, but I just bought an ICubs jersey instead. Maybe I'll get his name and number put on it, but i kinda wanted to represent the ICubs as well.

SouthrernHawk... you need to check your facts... The I-Cubs will never make the playoffs this year... 30-26 huh... I suppose you would say thats better than .500... but if they were 26-30 you would say that they are playing .500 ball... Weak.

Being in Pella for the summer I am hoping to get over and catch a game sometime this summer. I think it is reasonably affordable to catch a game there if I am not mistaken.

I went to one last year for $5.00

I think this year, decent seats are like 10 bucks per person, probably less.

I went on Thursday night with the ISUAA, it was a pretty good time. It was tied 4-4 in the 9th and had just started to rain when the I-Cubs came up. My friend turned to me and said "come one, one pitch, one swing, let's end this game". One pitch and one swing by Casey McGee (sp?) later, and the I-Cubs had won 5-4! Nice ending to a good game.

It's definitely not as exciting as the big show, but you can't beat a night at the ball park once in awhile. I'll probably go to a few more games throughout the summer.
