That would be two out of five in the running back room they were referring to If you don’t mind if I ask, how does that ratio not work out to “mostly unproven” to you? Pretty sure that three of five counts as “mostly”.

Of course, I didn’t do alll that well in my Stat class.
 
Blitz them all game long keep Brewer on his ass all game long! Those losers shouldn't even be aloud in the Big 12 after the crap they've pulled!

Balyor was 7-6 in 2018. Here are 2018 wins:

Abilene Christian: (6-5)
@ UTSA: (3-9)
Kansas: (3-9)
Kansas State( 5-7)
Texas Tech: (5-7)
Oklahoma State: (7-6)
Vanderbilt: (6-7) (Only two wins against teams at or above .500 MTSU & Nevada)

I don't get the love for Baylor in 2019. I suppose it's because they get all the big boys at home this year?

Eek is right. But I doubt they (Baylor) will eke out a win.

I would say it's because people are putting all of their eggs in the basket on Charlie Brewer. They also bring back some talent at RB and WR but their defense is going to have to make tremendous changes to be able to get to 7 wins again. They should realistically win their first three games: SFA, UTSA, and Rice. It's actually interesting that they get to play us, OU, and Texas all at home. Coming out on top of just one of those games is going to be extremely tough for them.

I know that as far as win percentages go, this was one of the games we were picked to lose, I think we were given something on the lines of a 49% to win? We'll see how things turn out for both teams for the first three games, and then we'll have a better feel for the game, but if we're 3-0, I really like our chances and think we have the momentum. The game's going to be chippy and have some carry over from last year, and I guarantee CMC is going to put a huge emphasis on playing smart and let them do all the talking.

They were playing hard by end of year, despite having been shellacked a couple times. People think Rhule is probably a pretty good coach (I know I was hoping he would jump to the Jets). And Brewer looked pretty good. Thus the hype.

Hard to say with regard to UNI, but it is possible that the second team plays and is almost as good as the first, so it may not be easy to keep it in the box. That is the kind of performance I am looking for.

But, I do know that if the opportunity to lay wood happens against Baylor you should get your calculator ready.

Jay said this in his Q&A thread, I thought it was interesting and makes me wonder if there is more heat toward Baylor within the program than I thought. I remember prior to last year's game there was some issue with Rhule being salty about our turf and that seemed to set the tone for the entire game. I don't expect anything like what happened last year but I really hope Campbell puts the pedal all the way to the floor in this game.

This will be a close game for a while because both teams play really good defense but Iowa State is just a better football team as a whole.I expect the Cyclones to get up for this game and take down the Cavaliers right before Matt Campbell leaves to go take the USC job.

Try that same exercise with Nebraska. Maybe they will be good, but being ranked preseason is ridiculous. Soft as noodle schedule helps I guess.
