We have 13 alumni in training camps right now:

Carter Bykowski- San Francisco 49ers
Tim Dobbins- Houston Texans
Hayworth Hicks- Carolina Panthers
Leonard Johnson- Tampa Bay Buccaneers
A.J. Klein- Carolina Panthers
Jake Knott- Philadelphia Eagles
Josh Lenz- Chicago Bears
Jake McDonough- New York Jets
Kelechi Osemele- Baltimore Ravens
Ahtyba Rubin- Cleveland Browns
David Sims- Philadelphia Eagles
Reggie Stephens- Baltimore Ravens
Seneca Wallace- New Orleans Saints

And the dreaded cut down dates:
August 27th @4PM: Rosters cut to 75 players
August 31st @6PM: Rosters cut to 53 players
Sept 1st @12PM: Practice Squad offers can be extended

Some of our guys, like KO, are rock solid for sure going to make the 53 man rosters, others, like Lenz and McDonough, are very possibly just training camp bodies. Given how training camp has been going so far how likely is it for each of our 13 guys to still be on a roster come September 1st?

Last I had talked to Jake he was doing really well. They moved him out to DE and I think he was thriving not being double teamed every play. Don't be surprised if he sneaks in.

McDonough is already done

On April 27, 2013, He signed with the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent.[SUP][4][/SUP] On July 25, 2013, the Jets waived McDonough with an injury settlement.[SUP][5][/SUP]

Well shoot. Down to 12 already with a month before cuts.

Down to 12 right now, but it could jump back up. Don't forget that McDonough and other players that do get cut could end up on another team's roster. Some NFL GMs like to have a lot of churn at the bottom of their depth chart, plus camp and preseason injuries could dictate a need at a certain postion where maybe there isn't a need right now.

I'd bet that Hicks is one some team this season... seemed to float around all last season. Probably practice squad type of deal. Same with Stephens. I'd say the only one that stands out is Lenz. Seneca still has a couple more years in him, think Sage.

It'll be an uphill battle for Josh Lenz with the Bears. There are eight wide receivers listed on this depth chart, and none of them is named Lenz. Of course, this isn't the team's official depth chart either, so take it with a grain of salt.

DISCLAIMER - I am a lifelong Bears fanatic.

I would say the guys certainly ahead of him are:
1 - Brandon Marshall (#1 receiver)
2 - Alshon Jeffery (#2 receiver)
3 - Earl Bennett (possession receiver, Jay Cutler security blanket if Marshall is covered)
4 - Eric Weems (extra value as excellent career return specialist)

Guys that are most likely ahead of him are:
5 - Devin Hester (some concern he won't make 53-man roster due to inability to catch the ball, limited success as returner last season, $1.86M salary and $2.94M salary cap hit this season)
6 - Marquess Wilson (6'4" 184lb rookie drafted in 7th round)
7 - Joe Anderson (6'1" 196lb second year guy, seeing a lot of good things out of him during current camp)
8 - Devin Aromashodu (6'2" 201lb former Bear, brought back for this season)

Guys Lenz is competing with:
Brittan Golden (5'11" 186lb second year guy from West Texas A&M)
Jerrell Jackson (6'0": 192lb second year guy from Missouri)
Terrence Toliver (6'5" 204lb second year guy from LSU)
Marcus Rucker (6'4" 185lb rookie from Memphis)

So, there will be a healthy number of WR that don't make the 53-man roster. The Bears kept about 8 WR active last year, which are likely to be Marshall, Jeffery, Bennett, Weems, Hester, Wilson, Anderson, and one of the other guys. Lenz will need to beat out all my unnumbered guys plus Aromashodu. Rucker and Toliver are bigger guys (6'4" or taller), while Golden and Jackson are smaller targets (6'0" or smaller), and Aromashodu sits in the middle at 6'2".

I have been reading as many reports from the camp that I can, as well as Twitter updates, and I haven't heard much about Lenz. I'd guess he is a practice squad player at this point. I sure would like to see him returning kickoffs or punts or catching passes for my NFL team, though!

Any Eagle's fan out there that could do a similar rundown for Knott?
My buddy at work gets text updates on camp. Everyone is loving him, hes working off and on with the ONES. Their middle linebacker just got hurt yesterday so that can't do anything but help Jakes chances. I would think that blue collar crazy city would fall in love with Jake, just like Ames did.

The last issue of Bear Report called Lenz "training camp body" in two different articles.

Sucks for McD.hes a beast. he should catch on somewhere if he is healthy. The jets draft DL every year in the first round, would be hard to make it
