Probably a lucky man to get out of that organization.
He will never be a happy man, he always has to have something/person to complain about.
He never had a chance to be successful. Phil Jackson left him with a dumpster fire then Kristaps was out a lot this year. He's now been fired twice as NBA Head Coach. Maybe he should have taken the ISU opening more seriously a few years ago.
Wasn't he almost coach of the year once with the Suns? I thought he just missed out to Pop. I don't think he is a bad coach just not a fit in the terrible organization that he chose to coach for.

Have no fear, we'll have plenty of threads about it any time we struggle this year.
It's been pretty well established he has zero loyalty to Iowa State.
Jeff Hornacek won 48 games 4 years ago... and didn't make the playoffs. Since that point every team he has coached has been a flaming dumpster fire.
The point of my post was I think he is a very quality coach, the organizations and players he has had to deal with since that 48 win team have been brutal and no help to him. I'd be surprised if he doesn't get another shot at some point.

I am sure not part of that "we".
He's just somebody we used to know. Had a fun time watching him in the NCAA's up here in Minneapolis but that was a LONG time ago and he doesn't play PG anymore.
I think previous administrations kind of dumped on former players. When you have 7 coaches in 24 years, former players get ignored.
