Honest Reaction and new prediction on year

Honestly Cyclone fans, we have improved drastically from last year, we all know this.... But that was one that completely cup checked me, once again, exhausted of reviewing games like this.... I was on record as going 6 to 7 wins, and believe we can still get there but starting to believe as we lost this winnable one, feels more like out cap in 5 wins..... Which will once again be another program cup check, I know the program wants to move forward change the ways, but to me once again, different coaching staff, same cup check results...... #TheCultureHasNotChangedYet

I disagree...

The way we played Saturday was great. We'll only improve throughout the year.

All games at home will be winnable rather than OSU, maybe.

Texas Tech away and Baylor away are very winnable.

Hell, I think @KSU end of the year will be winnable.

Maybe I'm more optimistic than most. I feel like most of us thought we'd lose this game anyway. Now that they did lose it we all go into panic mode.

They can still win 6 games. Akron, Texas, Tech, KU, Baylor.

All of these are winnable games.

But they'll probably blow about 5-6 more double digit 4th quarter leads. OU and OK State are the only teams that will take us behind the wood shed, but we have to either come from behind and score last, or blow someone out.

I had us at 6 with Iowa. That said it feels that the Big 12, top to bottom, isn't as solid as years before so I still believe that 6th win is attainable. Wins at:

Texas = 50-50 to me.....
Tech to me is better than expected, I hope I am wrong, but on the road in Lubbock seems like a stretch too.....

Five wins would not be a cup check. While it is less than many of us hope for, it would still be progress from the previous year and I believe sufficient to maintain recruiting momentum. However, anything less than 6 wins the following season would definitely be a momentum killer. #TheCultureHasChanged

I am not saying we can't just stating that this last weeks game was one that I myself had as win with 6, I am sure we can surprise someone. But I am more seeing a realistic 5-7 completion, unless we have huge breakthrough on finishing games..... Not finishing is the next thing that has to go being in this games happened last year, even happened under CPR... The culture just feels that same....

To me 5-7 in essence is a game short of bowl eligibility and no different than early CPR years.

It just depends largely on how good the rest of the conference is. While we have some clues, I don't think we really know yet.

I'm fine with where we are at. Before the season started I had us at 6 wins and splitting the Iowa and Texas game. If Iowa is truly one of the best defenses we will play all year, then I think we have a lot to look forward to. Side note on our schedule, but I'm not a huge fan of having to play two senior day road games to end the season.

So I agree with you in general I saw a lot of what I wanted to in the progress compared to how bad last year was, and a big win on Saturday might change the wave again. But I am kind of with the Todd Blythe tweet view, we need to win and finish these games as the next step in the culture change.... I am tired of just being close..... We need to find a way to get the W and more than that in this situation keep a lead......
