I've always been a faithful and avid reader of collegefootballnews.com, but with the addition of Jon Miller as a daily contributor....well, I'm torn. His homerism is off the charts. He's part of the daily roundtable and it seems like almost EVERY day he finds some way to bring Iowa into his answer, even if they aren't his answer. He did it today, and I'm sure will keep doing it. It's becoming humorous and I'm going to start keeping track just for fun.....

Yeah, I don't really understand why he mentioned Iowa at all when talking about Illinois' schedule. He made it seem like they were going the next two years without Ohio St. or Oklahoma not on the schedule.
 
What I thought was more funny was his Baylor answer...he's really changed his tune, I am 99% sure a while back I heard him say Baylor maybe wasn't winning a game this coming year.
 
Why does he act like Illinois is dodging a bullet because they don't play Iowa and Ohio State? Ohio State, sure, but Iowa? Get real. I guess he forgot that Illinois beat Iowa just last year.
 
That site is bogus anyway IMHO. The BIG 12 forum is pretty much 3 guys who talk about Oklahoma, Texas and their Little brother Nebraska. It totally leaves out all other teams. Have been going to the site for 5 years now and at first thought that the other 9 teams were just not relavant. Then you notice it is just the same 3 guys talking to each other for years. The BIG 10 forum is actually pretty good but always gets ruined by a few Hawkeye posters claiming their the best and some Northwestern fans who are jaded because they are left out of everything. John Miller just makes the site comical. He really does try to fit Iowa into every answer. Many of you here may not respect John for his opinions, but I do because he looks into Iowa sports with great detail. Hey nobody else cares really! It just looks bad when he trys to force that onto the rest of the nation with his answers. Looks kind of closed minded IMHO

I'm really not sure why anybody is surprised by this. Nothing personal against Jon individually, because I do enjoy listening to him (or I did when I had a chance), but this really is the mindset of most of the iowa fans I have met (I grew up in KCRG territory, so you know that number is large). I try to have a conversation with my hawkeye friends about iowa, iowa state, or general college sports, and all they know or care about is iowa. Which is fine by me, until they try telling me about how Iowa State sucks and iowa is so much better, when they can't name a single player on the team. Hell, a lot fo the time I know more about iowa than they do.
