With ESPN pushing a bunch of MNF games to ABC to fill air time due to the ongoing strike(s) in Hollywood, what are the chances that we see similar treatment given to weeknight college basketball games?

For example, maybe that Tuesday night ESPN game bumps to ABC, or maybe that Wednesday night FS1 game ends up on Fox instead.

I've been surprised there hasn't been a big push from the media companies to have football on every night even before the strike. On the weekends, there is a lot of competing for the same eyeballs when multiple games are on at the same time. By spreading things out, you get more net eyeballs.

Not everybody sets up 3-4 devices to watch simultaneous games on the weekend (I do because I'm a football junkie).

Seems likely at this point. Even if the striker ended tomorrow it’ll take months to write, film, and edit content. I doubt we’d see anything get to your TV set before the new year, probably closer to March.

NBC has a new season of the Voice coming and ABC has a new season of Dancing With the Stars. So they can at least do those types of reality shows

Even with something as popular as the NFL I imagine there's such a thing as oversaturation, most people aren't going to watch football every night, and realistically there aren't that many entertaining games in a week.

It wouldn't be at all surprising to see more sports get pushed to network TV, particularly on the weeknights. Even if both strikes were settled today, it'd be at least a couple of months before stuff was ready to air. They're going to have to fill a lot of air time, and sports would be a good bet to break up all the game shows, reality shows and re-runs that would air otherwise.

From what I’ve seen technically DWTS is covered by the WGA contract, so people on that show are strike-breaking.

I do know there are exceptions for news, game shows and some reality shows, but it’s complicated.
