Was watching the big 10 game on espn tonight and the announcers started ranting about "immature and childish" coaches after he who shall not be named was throwing a fit. They followed that with saying Coach Hoiberg is effective without all that.

Certainly was nice to hear.

During Iowa game while they were playing awful. So awesome. I bet Fran doesn't play Flappy Bird because he'd throw his phone every time he lost. That'd be a lot of phones

Heard that too. I bet the Squawkeyes listening to that nearly choked. Just like their team.

Fred is just calm and measured...and respectful. His team plays with confidence and don't get belittled by him...just how Fred is....and why he's such a success....not a blowhard.

Many of the kindness/most successful people I've met have similar demeanor.

Granted he did say that when fran was mad that Craft clearly traveled while imbounding the ball. Pretty horrid non call.

Per the Blum twitter feed the announcers were wrong about that. You get a 3 foot square box to inbound from, and can move your feet as much as you want within that zone. So it wasn't a clear travel. It may have been a travel, but more than likely was a 5 second.

We usually have some pretty crappy calls go against us (or non-calls), but at least Hoiberg doesn't go postal when it happens.

Here is the problem with Fran IMO. Although he has demonstrated more restraint since his ejections, he has a bit of Marcus Smart in him. When you cry wolf (bit**ing relentlessly at the refs) all the time, they start to ignore you and then develop a low tolerance for it. Fran may have had a legit gripe, but it falls on deaf ears.

This doesn't seem to apply to coaches such as Self and Izzo
