I couldn't find this posted anywhere else, but I'd seen DVD's on ebay before and today saw this on Youtube. Love hearing his techniques on ball spacing and seeing how he coaches.

But he's got no coaching experience:pcute:

Seriously though, he's a natural.

This is what my highschool coach always made us do. Maybe he wasnt the dummy I thought he was.

All pretty basic stuff, but I always enjoy watching videos like these. I'd love to see a mcdermott tape where he goes through his 1 billion offensive and out of bounds plays that no one can actually remember or ever even use in a game. haha.

I wish I had the opportunity to play for Fred. If I were a recruit and saw his coaching/teaching style, ISU would be a no-brainer for me.

I agree. What I think is cool about him and what would be tempting as a recruit is he is so smart, has credibility as a player and coach, but also is so personable. Calm, funny, etc. I've been around him a few times off the record and his sense of humor is great and he has that "confident, but approachable" demeanor.

What I've liked about him since day one is he isn't the typical "yell/scream/belittle" type of coach. He's gone on the record and basically said he builds players confidence and disciplines in private.

lol.. Agreed Fred has a natural ability to articulate in a calm style his knowledge of the game. He's been fortunate enough to have been around allot of great college and NBA coaches and he obviously has absorbed this in his coaching style which to me is unique, a nice mixture of both NBA of college styles of play. Playing at the highest level against and with the greatest players in the world certainly helps with his respect factor from players and coaches. We are lucky to have him.
