Not 100% sure of the facts, but heard Hilton is on it's 5th 20 win home streak (currently at 21 games) and CFH has been part of 3 of them (1 as player and 2 as a coach), along with Hilton has brought 7 (again not 100% sure) straight wins against ranked teams at home in the current 21 game Hilton win streak.

Can anyone (you hawkeye stalkers) help me understand when Carver had their last 20 game home streak along what is their longest win record vs. ranked teams?

Yah we know it's not just the location as coaching, recruiting, and players have as much to say about it but being able to have the magic Hilton brings and being able to protect "home" is something we've been able to do in a dominant way vs. those in eastern IA.

Maybe I'm just getting tired of the biased media trying to keep pumping up the choke-eyes in less dominant conference, and every time we have loss vs. (usually a ranked team) conference foe they want to become a nay sayer of our ability.

ISU & Hilton Magic has proven without a doubt that our coach can coach, players can play in the toughest conference, protect home court, and show how all the parts have come together on a consistent basis.

Not sure the point of this thread. I think most Iowa fans would tell you that Hilton is a tougher place to play than Carver

Who cares, celebrate the win and move on.

mikedp with some unnecessary double penetration. Great win at home in conference, but no need to bring up the bums to the east. They know they can't compare, we don't need to remind them.

Why isn't this in In-State Rivals? If it was just about Hilton, it'd be better.

Shall we also discuss the fact that Iowa is much better on the road? ISU is a completely different team away from Hilton...

Agreed, to only win in that horrible gym called Carver by 15 was pretty disappointing but we're at full strength now. Hopefully Fred can get at least 2-3 more road wins down the stretch

Get back to us when Iowa gets a road win equivalent to @WVU.

They won at UNC. We both have two top 50 road wins. They can compare all they want we're a better team obviously and it's not our fault their fans don't show up to games and provide a home court advantage.

Iowa's road wins(good ones) - UNC and Ohio State
Iowa State's road wins - Iowa and West Virginia

Looks about even to me. Michigan and Minnesota are trash, which is why I didn't include them. Nobody cares about which garbage teams you beat on the road.

THE POINT...is if we have to live in the same state as Squawkeyes...they mght as well know we're better than them as a species.
