I have a 2 year old that I'd like to take to a game at Hilton this year and I noticed on the Cyclones Tickets website that it says anyone 1 year or under does not require a ticket. My question is, with a two year old, since he'll likely be on somebody's lap the majority of the game, am I actually required to buy him a ticket, or would it be frowned upon if I didn't get him a ticket and he just sat on laps?

I have no issue buying an extra ticket for him, but I don't know how much he'll really even sit in the seat and it would require getting tickets in a different section that aren't as good of seats. I don't want to piss people off or get questioned about it by staff. What are the thoughts here, or what have others done in the past? Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!

They won't ask his age at the door, so it's not really necessary.
I think you are supposed to buy the ticket even though he won't use it. We had a season ticket for our daughter at 2 or 3 years of age that wasn't even next to our seats. We let older friends that sat there use the seat for their coats.

At one point we had four seats at Hilton, with us, son, DIL, and two granddaughters (infant and 2 yr old). We passed them back & forth on laps. 2 year old was really small for her age, so they never questioned her. At three, they got her a ticket elsewhere, but they stayed on our laps until she was around four. Most fans won't mind if you have a small child on your lap.

Hilton has defined seats, so you're pretty well contained in "your space". It's more of an issue at Jack Trice, when people try to fit 2-3 extra kids on the benches between them and spread out onto the seats of other fans.

I wouldn't worry about it. We took our kids when they were 2 and did not have a ticket for them. just carry them in the door and they will not question you.

I’ve brought 2 year olds in without a ticket a few times and never had a problem. I think if they’re still small and can sit on your lap well nobody will question it.

You are supposed to have one for entry, but if your 2yo is sitting on your lap, no one sitting next to you SHOULD hassle you. If they do, ignore them.
