Does anybody know if Iowa State will auction off the floor from Hilton like they did in 93?

That's too bad they aren't selling it. I was just asked about it tonight. Yesterday my dad just gave me his piece of the floor from '93. Signed by none other than Loren Meyer, Johnny Orr, and yes coach Fred Hoiberg. Nice addition to my Clone room.

JP talked about this on a football radio telecast.

IIRC, the 1993 flood, the floor was not down, and the flood waters did not submerge the entire floor, so they were able to sell the part of the floor not under water.

This year, with the floor being down because VB practice was about to begin, the entire floor was submerged, so there was no part of the floor dry to be able to sell.

yeah but who cares if the floor was damaged and completely wet. We won back to back Big 12 titles on that floor.

Soaked in river water or not I bet had they let it set outside in a pile it would have been picked over and gone within a day.
