Looking for recommendations or ideas for the development of a high school footballer. He will be a Junior in the fall.

He is a 2 year starter (Fresh and Soph teams) at Defensive Tackle and there is talk of moving him to Offensive Guard. He is a good natural athlete who excelled at all the sports as a kid.

He has done ISU's one day camp(loved it). He is in line for Central's varsity camp and Jim Williams Offensive line camp.

Any other camps to look into, or stay away from ?

Are there places around Central Iowa where you can work out with former football players ?

Hit all the camps around iowa ie minnesota wisconsin illinois, work on quickness, people put alot of stock into 40 yard times, but lineman need a great burst so working on quickness is the more important than straight speed

also make sure he has the frame to support the position hes trying to play at the next level, you don't want him to be trained as a tackle if he projects as a guard, a lot of iowa high schoolers are playing out of position due to the lack of overall size of the competition at this level

Get him in the weight room and work on plyos. If he wants to get a look, he must be bigger, faster, and stronger than the competition.
