It's a pretty simple formula: when we can run we can win. Texas Tech, Texas, Kansas, almost Nebraska, NIU: in all these wins (or near wins) we moved the ball effectivly on the ground.

Missouri has trouble stopping the run(57th in the nation). They gave up over 200 yds (not totaling sacks) to KSU last week, 141 to KSU's back up QB. The week before they let Tech...yes Texas Tech...run all over them including a 128yd performance by Barron Batch. And the week before...well we all saw what Nebraska did. I think we will rev up our run game and smash them in the mouth with Tiller, Arob, Woody and Shontrelle.

Other reasons to believe:

We have more to play for. Bowl eligabilty, Austin Arnaud, Senior night. Missouri is pretty much out of the North race and is simply jockying for bowl position. Not saying they won't be motivated, but for us it is life and death.

Paul Rhoads has never lost three games in a row

We are 7-1 in night games at Jack Trice

Jerome Tiller is 2-1 as a starter...really 2.5-1 if you count Baylor last year. He is no slouch coming off the bench

28-17 ISU.

what do you call utah and oklahoma? Iowa and Kansas State??

So we won at ATM last year??

Most of those teams couldn't throw the ball. Teams that could throw basically destroyed ISU. The lone exception was TT and their D was so bad that they couldn't keep up with our running game. I hope that people aren't getting their hopes up here. I'd be surprised if ISU is within 3 TDs of Mizzou.

We certainly have more to play for. The difference between 10-2 and 9-3 doesn't really change too much in the bowl picture, with Missouri's bad travel reputation.

This game is going to be like every other game we've played this year. If our line shows up and controls the line of scrimmage, we have a great shot. If not... See: Iowa, Utah, Oklahoma, Colorado.

Cmon... we need some POSITIVE thoughts here! On paper, we probably shouldn't have been within 3 TD's of NU or Texas, but you never know. If there's anything I've learned about CPR coached teams, it's to expect the unexpected! (Unfortunately, last Saturday probably falls into that category.) Hey, if we play a solid game all around I think we've shown that we can hang with anybody. We gotta have faith that our boys are going to have the game of their lives and come out of this one with a W.

Biggest thing from the call in show tonight, Rhoads made it very known he EXPECTS a HUGE crowd on Saturday.

mizzou also gave up 307 yards to Roy Helu in one game

and there isn't going to be a huge crowd on saturday night. wish there was. i'll be there. staying down in ames for 2 extra days.

I hope i get to brag to my buddies how i got to rush the field while they went home!! (just like colorado game last year)

He should expect a huge crowd - our bowl season is still in reach and we're playing for our lives here. I really hope our fans deliver and pack the place and show CPR and the rest of the team that we're in this til the bitter end right along with them.

Watching the replay of the KSU and Mizzou game......ummmm.....Mizzou is horrible against the run. Some Klein guy played QB for KSU, they made him look like Taylor Martinez.

Like what you're sayin' but this season has been a roller coaster ride. Which team shows up?....the one that took the Huskers to overtime or the one that flat lined at Colorado?

Wished I could see into the future...I'd be a millionaire.

i think that husker game team shows up on saturday. unfortunately, we're one guy short. hopefully we've got enough in the tank

You should just convince your buddies that they're being massive ******* vaginas for missing the most important game of the year. Their friends from high school and their small town bars will still be there on Sunday, and they have all of next week to see them.

Unfortunately, our fans kind of suck so there won't be a huge crowd. I will be shocked if there's 35K there. It's pathetic really.

Now, we do have a shot but our Oline has to own the line and we need to be able to throw the ball, specifically down the middle to keep the in place. I know a lot of people talk about keeping them off the LOS, but actually, if your Oline does it's job running the ball, them being close to the line of scrimmage should be beneficial. It should take backside LB out of the play and wash out another. That leave one for the lineman or perhaps a lead blocker. A good running attack will kill a team who places LBers to close to the line. A poor performance by them, however let's those players into the play. There absolutely needs to be an itial hole so there is no hesitation.
