Help with U.S. Virgin Islands Vacation

I'm going to the island of St. John for vacation in October. Does anybody that has gone there have any good suggestions as far as excursions, restaurants, etc?

I can't help you on specifics, but I can tell you I'm jealous as all get-out. The V.I. is one of the best vacation spots I've been to (and I've been around the globe). It has such a European and Caribbean mish-mosh of nationalities. You never know who you're gonna meet. Plus it's incredibly beautiful. If you can, get on a boat and snorkel.

If you go to St. Croix, don't go visit the Cruzan Rum distillery...I have since boycotted any type of rum after seeing the type of place that stuff is made in. Take a tour of the island and feed the beer drinking pig...Quite possibly the funniest thing i have ever seen.

Go snorkel off Cokie Beach in St Thomas before you leave.

What didn't you like about the Cruzan distillery? Seemed fine when I went. Feeding the pigs beer is a must though in St. croix. Snorkling is excellent there as well.
