I just wanted to let you guys know that you will have a huge home court advantage against UConn. There will be at least 10,000 UK fans (probably more) in the house and every one of us will be rooting for Iowa State to knock off UConn. Good luck and enjoy your stay in our beautiful state -- and kick the shat out of the Huskies!!

Thanks for stopping by. I'm hoping you are correct in that everyone will be rooting for us there. I think the obvious answer of why is because you like the draw versus us more than against UConn :)

Thanks, I hope we do beat UCONN and then beat your ***** in your home state. That would make the trip very enjoyable.

:D

Why would KY fans care about Iowa State? Easier win for you?

To be honest, I'd be more afraid of facing Royce White than facing Andre Drummond, but whatever..

Its uconn and kentucky history. It would he lime us rooting for someone. We will take it. Cheer your ***** off for uw. We would appreciate it

We too would be cheering for Kentucky to beat Missouri Valley State/Western Kentucky.

We matchup better with Kentucky than we do with MVS or WK. Best of luck in that game!

Backsided compliment but thanks
UConn fan here.
Interacting with Kentucky fans is like cleaning clogged toilets - they're completely full of ------- and if you try to make them right, you end up getting crap all over yourself.

I'd much rather have you beat us and then beat Kentucky than have us beat you and then get beat by Kentucky.

On the other hand, I am cheering for Calipari to get to his second final four appearance, and then have it stand for a bit.

UConn this year has had many ups and downs. We run a 3 guard offense a lot, and our #1 guy off the bench, a point guard, was ineligible at the beginning of the year and then again for several games in the middle of the year. Coach himself missed a bunch of games. Point is, we have had horrible continuity all year. Further, we have the 8th youngest team in the country, and that shows.

Recently, however, we've been on a small roll. We finished with a couple of decent wins, and then lost to Syracuse by a bucket in a game we were up 10 or so in the 2nd half.

I think it comes down to this - make your 3s at a good pace and you'll probably beat us - we're horrible at defending the 3.
Don't make them, and you'll be in a dog fight.

And if you beat us, I want to be sworn in as a deputy Iowan to root against the slimeballs you'll face in round 2.

Good luck, congratulations on making the tourni, and I look forward to getting to know more about your team in the next few days (I know you shoot lights out, which means you're a bad matchup for us!).

I think it's as simple as this - hit your 3s and you beat us.

We don't fear UConn. It has nothing to do with UConn. We just hate the Big East. You have to consider we have our most hated rival an hour down the road (Louisville) and we constantly hear their fans talk about the "great Big East conference". It long ago became sickening to listen to. So it doesn't matter if it's UConn or any other Big East team, we would be rooting for Iowa State to knock them off. Go Cyclones!

Great. We are one of the best 3 point shooting teams around

As a UK fan first but a ISU alum. Idt its because we like out "matchup" against ISU better. it's more we hate Uconn. kinda like if you were playing UL. A loss for them is almost as good as a win for us.

You won't have to worry about. UCONN matches up horribly with ISU. Clones by 15.
