If you have a half-hour to spare, this is a very interesting podcast on Big 12 football. Talks about ISU's chances for playoffs, and Campbell's chances for staying at ISU.

Interesting listen. It's easy for us on CF and in the local media to say CMC isn't leaving but it's refreshing hearing others echo our thoughts that he loves it in Ames and isn't going anywhere. Agree about what he said on Herman and Gundy too, unless you can get that big fish (i.e. Urban Meyer) who else is really going to make either of those programs any better right now?

Summary:
Alabama needs to win. Notre Dame needs to beat Clemson. Ohio State is a variable because they will only have 6 wins if they beat NW in the B10 Championship. Will they take Iowa State if they beat OU? He thinks OU is a 7 point favorite in the B12 championship.

Herman- Thinks he will stay. No need to restart the process of a new head coach.
Gundy- Crazy to get rid of Gundy. No one else that will fill his shoes and stay long term.
Campbell- Going to stay doesn't have an agent. May leave if ND or OSU opens.

Talks about OU versus WV but clearly that game is cancelled now.

one guy on the internet said CMC wanted the ND or tOSU job. Now its the gospel. Ridiculous.

Chris has had Pete Mundo on Sports Fanatics and Pete has had Chris on the Heartland podcast. A lot of the Matt Campbell talk mirrors what Chris talked about when he was on.

Pete Mundo over at Heartland does a great job imo. I think he is pretty solid with his podcasts and such. One of the few out there championing the Big 12. Been listening to his podcasts on the days I don't get any pods from CF.

Pete does a great job with the Heartland podcast. Probably the best for Big 12 fans to get the coverage they want and deserve.

Ten12 is another podcast I've recently discovered and enjoy. I think Philip Slavin is an OSU fan, and they generally do a good job. A few of the ones I've listened to have Jamie Steyer (Jodi's daughter) on to talk Iowa State, so that's been fun.

Yes, Pete Mundo does a great job. He's also been highly, highly complimentary to Iowa State this year. I think he is a k-state grad but could be wrong.

Good dude, and I genuinely enjoy his podcast. I like to hear an outsider's view (outside of Fanatic) on stuff around the big 12.

It's not gospel. I think it is the consensus that Notre Dame and Ohio State are materially FAR superior jobs to Michigan. And if Campbell were to leave, would it not make sense to leave for one of those two versus a Michigan? Michigan is a dumpster fire at the moment. That's the way I feel anyway.

Also like Mundo's thoughts on the rest of the big 12 coaches:
- Cowboys would be unbelievably stupid to depart from Gundy
- TX, if you can't get Urban what's the point of firing Herman?
- ISU, he thinks Campbell is staying long term.

Tangential, but he had an ESPN guy on recently, I think Tom Rittenburg. Good interview, but everyone out east is blind to how bad the Big 10 is this year. How can one objectively call them the second best conference this year?
