If that's what the owner wanted so be it. Even if I personally don't agree with it. There are plenty of other dogs who need adopting anyways. This is just a big media story for the sake of outrage and clicks.

Yeah, that’s not the loving thing to do. Don’t get me wrong, I know pets are put down every day for less reason than that.
Agreed. How about doing a little work, or even putting up a few dollars to make sure your pet can be adopted by a good person/family?

I agree about plenty of dogs that need adopted. Still. They didn't need to put that dog down. Like the lady was going to find out? Who cares? Let the little fella live. Too bad.
As I already said I don't agree with it, but there are a whole bunch of other things in this world than more important than an owner putting their dog down. Its really a non-issue.
As a vet how do you follow through with her wishes? They're just as ****** as the owner of the dog.

I would imagination it took more than one phone call to find a vet willing to do this, but still.
There are far more important issues, I agree.
But if I were to die and somebody put my pup down, I'd haunt the **** out of them until the end of time.
My BIL is a vet and has had people requesting healthy pets be put down more than once. My mother got two cats that way (Rag Doll and Himalayan) People requested they be put down because the owner didn't like the cat's personality.

Had a lady come in one day with an old tortie cat to be put down. She was the executor of this woman's estate who had passed, and couldn't get the cat adopted. Perfectly healthy. Couldn't do it, so of course it ended up at our home. She was a good old kitty.
