Harrison Barnes Preseason National Player of the Year

That can't be right. Many posters on here said that if he went to UNC or Duke all he would do is sit on the bench

question is....do most people on here really even care?

i wish him luck....but I could care less.

at the time of his decision....he made the correct one with that useless former coach being in place at ISU.

How many games has he started for the Tarheels?

Zero. How many games will he sit on the bench for the Tarheels? Zero.

When you are a top 10 recruit you will start from day 1 at any school you go to

I think it was a blessing that HB didn't come here. I highly doubt McDermott would have left if Harrison committed to Iowa State.

I was thinking about this...

If possible, which would you choose:

1) HB stays in Ames, but we are stuck with McD for the foreseeable future
or
2) HB backstabs ISU, but The Mayor returns home to lead the Cyclones.

This,

he was basically stealing $ from the university and we will soon find out how lucky we were to get his *** out of town.

he starts as a true freshman then?

Absolutely. He'd start in the NBA right now if he were eligible to be drafted. The national hype machine is all over HB.

I think we got a good deal by trading Mac for Hoiberg, but I'm not going with HB stabbing us in the back. He did the best thing for himself, which is all that he was obligated to do. Most of us would likely make that choice, too, especially given the rampant dysfunction in the hometown program combined with the style of play that he didn't want to play.

I don't like the press conference thing, but I don't think it means he stabbed us in the back. He just picked somebody better (which hurts on its own).

Too bad the UNC/Illinois game isn't on a weekend. I would have gone down there forsure for that game. Can't wait for it.
