Even as a huge Braves fan I always enjoyed listening to Harry!! Seems strange that I was just enjoying his broadcast (minus the 8 run 7th the Phills put up) only a few days ago...

As noted in the second post, many of us may know him better as one of the premiere voices of NFL Films. If you still can't think of the voice, he also did the Campbell's Chunky Soup commercials.

Sad news. He died after collapsing in the booth before a game. That must've been a difficult game for the broadcast crew to call.

I didn't know that Kalas was an Iowa grad. I'm surprised that isn't more well known fact in the state.

Kalas was a quintessential broadcaster. Harry Caray was lovable for different reasons. Kalas and Scully are in a different league.
