I was surprised to see that she didn't get in on any match action in Omaha, especially with Hockaday going down, are we red-shirting her?

In her media conference today, CJL indicated that she hoped all three freshman would get to play this coming weekend. Not sure on redshirting Hannah with the injury to Hock.

Yesterday against Milwaukee, ISU played 13 players in the last set. Surprised Hannah Willms didn't get to play. Must be a redshirt this year for her.

The Cyclones used 13 players in the final set and went on to win 25-18. Iowa State hit .367 in the frame, with Tenisha Matlock and Taylor Knuth each getting three kills off the bench.

Went to the matches Saturday - disappointed not to see her play. But I suppose you only need so many players. Better to save the year instead of wasting it with very limited action.

It was nice to see the team able to get so many bench players in. Continuity suffered quite a bit, but I guess that's to be expected.

Tenisha Matlock was the frosh I heard the least about. She got some significant time and was very impressive. And I thought Hannah Johnson did a very respectable job in the middle. Nice to see we have a bit of depth there.

And not sure why I didn't realize it before, or where it came from - but Kelsey Petersen has a hammer. Damn!
