Hamilton's dad on Greg

Or he shares my opinion in hoping McDermott does not get **** in for recruits, when it is obvious that they will end up not like playing for him.

The more ISU Men's Basketball fails next year, the easier it will be to get rid of McDermott. If that means recruiting will have to take a hit this off-season, I'm all for it!

Ok, I'm going to ask the obvious, what kind of fan cheers for their team to lose? I HATE Brad Childress, but I don't magically hope the Vikings lose every game in hopes of firing him. And what if he doesn't get fired? Then your recruiting suffers into the future.

That isn't what I got from that post at all. I got the impression that the problem was he wasn't consistant from day to day or player to player, not that he was a hard *** in general. And that is where the problem came from. Don't believe it, take a look at the puzzling handling of the Dendy and Colvin suspensions this season. Enough said.

If there is a head coach at any power conference school in the country that doesn't get in your face and cut loose in practice, I would be shocked. That isn't the problem here. If Justin was the lone player leaving, I could buy the explanation that he is just a wuss and can't take it, but give GMac's player retention record here the last 4 years that certainly isn't the conclusion I would come to given this new information.

Good Post.

Just a quick FYI Brad Childress wins games.

A fan who thinks the longer we dig ourselves into this hole, the longer it will take to climb out.

Recruits read message boards. Do the math.
Yes. they do. So what? I feel like we just had this topic a couple of days ago.

3 points:
1. We are screwed anyway, so who cares.
2. Most of the info in the OP's message is stuff most people can deduce anyway.
3. If they let something like that change their minds, then they will crumble at any sign of criticism anyway, which will happen in their 4 years (unless you're at ISU, where it's about 2) in college.

I would just love to hear the talk at the spring game on saturday about GMac getting the can. People would be happy again, the guy is a horrible leader...at this level...and is not B12 caliber........then we can get right down to the FB action. It would be like a huge weight was taken off our shoulders.

Please step down Greg. You are not wanted here.

It's the exact same post verbatim, so unless Summit and Monk are one and the same, it's a straight up copy paste job. And if Larry wanted it out there, it seems to me he should have posted it himself, IMO.

All I'm saying is it's very possible that Larry and him had an arrangement that wasn't known to the rest of the Social Group. I think people have a right to their statements, and even if he DID copy/paste it out of the Social Group, if he had the OP's blessing, he didn't violate anyone else's trust.

You guys have a privilege to view this information, not a right, and if the person who provided it in the first place ok'd it, then there was no violation.

I would agree that if Summit wanted it out there, he should have done it himself, but maybe he didn't want to take the heat.

Pollard could fire him at halftime of the spring game at the 50 yard line. I would than not only got to the spring game, but I would pay money to go.

So, another Prima Dona has his daddy stand up and tell it like it is. I am a little skeptical here about this crap. Remember when Ham came here he was nothing. The Big 12 was wondering why in the hell Mac recruited him. He played two years and was developed into something and now he takes his ball and wants to be "closer to home." Then his daddy has to come on here and voice his opinion. I wish Ham's next coach luck as I think he will have one big cry baby on his hands. "My coach is mean to me so my daddy is going to bad mouth him after I decide to run home with my tail between my legs." To both dad and kid... grow up and get a backbone.

As far as Colvin is concerned he is lucky he is even still in school. Most coaches would have not given him a second chance to be on the team. They would have kicked him to the curb like the spoiled brat that he is.

As for another winner... I see that Wesley Johnson has gone NBA. That is one year at Syracuse after he ran away from ISU. Has anyone thought that he may have not wanted to be overshadowed by Brackins? I hope he is successful in the NBA. I think he lacks the stomach to take the beating that goes on night after night in the league. Good luck, Wesley... because the coaches in the NBA won't give damn what you think.

I am just tired about the Internet lynching that is going on here. I agree Mac is not the best coach in the league and ISU leaves a lot to be desired in money and facilities. But, I will lay odds that any new coach that ISU brings in will be lynched on this board before his first season is over.

We can become like Kentucky and Kansas. Rent players for a year and pretend that they are actually student athletes. Or, we can have some respect for ISU and recruit players that actually want to be here and get an education. If Mac stays or goes is not the problem. What ISU willing to give up to win is the question.

So those who are in the know... Can you offer up any sign of positivity? Any indication that things are headed in the right direction? Why, other than being a diehard Clone, should I be excited, in any capacity, for the upcoming season?

And fair warning, "Just trust me were in good hands." will not cut it given the actual (factual) results of the past 4 seasons.
